The history before us
In 1870, Lars Madsen Pedersen and his wife Ane Nielsen rented the farm from Holsteinborg castle. In 1919, their daughter Anna and her husband Karl Kristiansen bought the farm from the castle. Karl Kristiansen was a respected law inforcer in the area for many years. Some years after Anna's death, Karl remarries to a lady called Agnes, and it is her that finally sels the farm to us in 1968.
The local area
Bynkegaard is situated in South West Zealand and is surrounded by nature and beauty. It is a good place to be situated if you like to walk, bike or even go for a drive. A folder can be found in the flat, which can give trip suggestions and inspiration. If you like forests and beaches then there is a forest near by and the nearest beach is Bisserup beach which is only 4 km from Bynkegaard.
If you would like to swim in Storebælt, which has views of the Storebælt Bridge, then you can travel 12 km. to the town of Skælskør where you can find the beach Kobæk Beach.
Both Skælskør and Næstved have good shopping facilities, with cozy centers and surrounding streets. Both towns are absolutely worth a visit as they are beautifully situated next to Storebælt and the river Susås estuary accordingly.
